I write contemporary fiction featuring complicated Asian American characters. I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Chinese immigrants from Taiwan. After graduating from Princeton University and Harvard Law School, I’ve practiced as an attorney in Hong Kong, Beijing and the United States. I now live in a suburb of my hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, with my husband, three children, and two dogs.
